In November 2022, the Danish group invited Michael S\u00f6derkvist and Tim Torfj\u00e4ll to visit and teach
a two-day seminar in Vissenbjerg.
Vissenbjerg is a small town with a very large and beautiful multi-purpose hall at the school. This
picture is from a ficka tea break with some of the members:
Jodo is new in Denmark, and our small group looked to expand by advertising locally to see if there
is interest in joining us in Jodo practice. Therefore, the first morning of the seminar was open to the
public, and two people came to see what jodo is. Michael spoke of jodo in general and our style in
particular, and led us in Kihon tandoku.
After a late lunch of Danish sm\u00f8rrebr\u00f8d, we ventured into Omote kata and learned a lot from seeing
Michael and Tim demonstrate and analyze the kata. This continued on Sunday as well, and we were so busy that we completely forgot to take pictures… All in all a wonderful start to the journey of SMR Jodo here in Denmark.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
